Welly Christmas from Clare, Marco and Joshua 2015
Greetings and Merry Christmas to you all,
The year started with Joshua starting High School at Hutt Valley High. Joshua had a great year and excelled in Spanish and French (spoken and written, basic level) and received Achieved with Merit. Joshua’s grades for Maths, Science, English and Social studies were also ‘Achieved with Merit and Excellence. After reading Joshua’s end of the year report we discovered that he learnt to play the saxophone and was very competent at producing a good sound. We hope that he continues with his lessons next year!
Marco visited his Dad in Dordrecht, Holland in May this year for 3 weeks and enjoyed spending his time seeing his father , his brother Frank, Laura and the two children Delano and Damian and catching up with good friends.
It was not long after Marco returned from overseas that we both decided to sell the Crest Clean business. The timing was right to sell as we had grown the business to 1.2 million.
In August, Marco, Joshua and Clare celebrated Dad’s 80th in Auckland. Mum had put a lot of energy and organising into Dad’s special day and we had a great turnout of family and close friends. It was a treasured time for the immediate family to spend quality time together.
In October, Mum and Dad came and stayed in Wellington to see the World of Wearable Art Show which is a spectacular World Class International Fashion and Art Event. They also enjoyed spending time together with Karl, Bonnie and the girls.
In late November Clare started in her new role as a Business Development Manager for The Wellington Chamber of Commerce. As the business was sold mid- November the timing was perfect to start in the new job. Before starting in the position Marco and Clare thoroughly enjoyed a two week holiday walking, cycling and relaxing in the beautiful Hawkes Bay.
