Christmas Greetings for 2016 – wishing everyone happy holidays and some well earned rest!

2016 has been a busy year and a bit shaky too here in Wellies but we have pulled through in good kiwi fashion – getting things done without too much fuss ????

We started the year off with a fun summer holiday in Gisborne camping by the beach – it was a bit challenging this year with the rain but nice and relaxing with beach time and yoga. The summer was great back in wellies and we enjoyed lots of carnivals, fairs and beach time.

Molly was in year four at Owhiro Bay school and has done well across reading and writing. She showed her talent in athletics when representing the school in long distance running in the Southern Wellington Champs coming 2nd and also going on to participate in the Wellington regional athletics champs.

She also participates in a Pony Club in Ohairo valley which is her first passion and is progressing well in cantering and trotting. She has a caring nature and loves to spend time taking care of the horses.

Lilly-Anne attended year 3 at school and is showing excellence in reading and writing and maths. She is imaginative at story writing which is always a fun read. Lilly-Anne has a keen interest in nature, helping plant new trees and going for nature walks.

Both Molly and Lilly-Anne have enjoyed their regular music lessons every Sat during term time. Lilly-Anne is progressed well in keyboard and is able to play and read songs with both hands. Molly continues learning and playing recorder which has been good for her. They both also enjoy gymnastics.

Rose was at her third year at Owhiro Bay Kindergarten and continues to enjoy engaging and learning and discovering all things fun indoors and outside. Her favs are reading, colourful drawings about life and family, watching Doc Mcstuffins and still waking her parents up way too early!

Some fun times have been had with all the girls exploring the south coast of Wellington on bike – Rose on the bike carrier and Molly and Lilly-Anne cycling alongside

Bonnie has been busy at work managing clinical trials for international glaucoma research. Its rewarding work under Professor Tony Wells and she enjoys the challenge. She also undertook and passed the international Ophthalmic Technician certification (theory) and will sit her practical exam next year.

Bonnie celebrated turning 40 this year and celebrated this with a wonderful trip away with Karl to Waiheke Island. She and the girls are also going to celebrate this milestone by going to Disneyworld in Florida early next year – an annual trip she used to do with her family growing up. She continues to enjoy her passion of teaching and practising yoga with Te Aro Astanga which she is progress well in.

Karl has enjoyed another busy year working with IR on their Business Transformation (BT) project which is getting ready for stage 1 launch in early Feb. He also gained Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) accreditation after many hours of study – and is looking forward to some surf time at the beach!

Karl has also enjoyed yoga sessions and taking up Boxfit – a great way to keep fit as well as regular mountain biking in the hills.

We has a few trips up to Auckland this year visiting and supporting Mum and Dads with Jay’s recent mental illness. It’s been great to see Dad progress being back at home from the hospital and we are delighted they are able to spend time with us in Wellington this Christmas

Wishing you all the best for 2017 and the holiday season

Love Karl, Bonnie, Molly, Lilly-Anne and Rose
