Clare and Marco Wairapapa Christmas 2018
Greetings from Greytown, South Wairarapa , NZ!
Marco’s farther who hasn’t been well for the last two years, passed away in June this year. Marco returned to the Netherlands for his father’s funeral. At his Dad’s funeral Marco spoke well and shared all the great things his Dad did for him and his brother (Frank). It was a special time to regroup with his family and remember the special times Frank and Marco had growing up.
Josh is growing up fast in his teenage years and is taller that his father – with a height of 6.3 ft. Josh is in year 12 and has been working hard with his external papers over the last few months. Next year will be his last year of school and will be a big year of working through options with going to university or polytech.
Josh’s Granddad Larry passed away early this year and he and his dad travelled to his home town in San Francisco to say their goodbyes and blessings.
Marco and Clare had a nice trip away to Sydney to the Olympic Park area to see Armin van Buuren live in concert. It was a fun three trip and enjoyed the sights of Sydney harbour and Darling Harbour.

Jimmy the Cat
This year was busy with travelling back and forth from Wellington to the Wairarapa to oversee the different stages when our new home was getting built.
It was good to have my brother John come and stay with us and Karl and family. John travelled to Wellington to have an eye operation for glaucoma, which Karl has had to also contend with. John was a great help with checking over our house in the final stages when it was getting built.
We moved in to our home in Greytown , October this year. Since then we’ve managed to do landscaping, planting of new trees, small shrubs and painting our fence . It’s nice to have our first Christmas in our new house with Josh, Mum and Dad, Karl, Bonnie, Molly, Lilly-Ann and Rose.
We’ve recently added to the family a three year old Cross Persian cat called Jimmy who was a neglected cat we bought from our local Vet care clinic. Jimmy is quite a special, loving cat and has bought a lot of joy and fun into our home.
