Clare’s Wellywood Highlights for 2009

Kia Ora from Wellington,

Merry Christmas to you All! It has been an adventurous year for Joshua and I.

clares-first-fish.jpgStarting off, with Joshua leaving last Christmas for Wellington to live with his Dad, and with me moving to Wellington early February to start my new job as an Advertising Account Manager for City Life Newspapers (division of APN Print and Media).

150.jpgJoshua has settled in quickly into his new life and is enjoying his new School in Maungaraki, Lower Hutt and has bonded well with his new friends. In July Joshua did a Kiwi Bike Jam race (held in Trentham, Upper Hutt) with other children his own age and biked in the freezing cold, miserable wet weather. The bike race was worth it, especially to be awarded with a gold medal for finishing the race!

Joshua has been playing soccer this year and has been enjoying receiving each term a new soccer outfit that represented teams from France, Spain and England.

It was very sad to have Peter Drake pass away early this year, he was a close, supportive, kind and caring man. He is missed dearly.

clare-and-marco-chow-restaurant.jpgIn June this year my life changed completely with meeting Marco. We are both happy and content together.

Recently Marco and I bought a lovely house in Korokoro, Wellington. I am over the moon to have a home that has a lovely native bush settling around us, beautiful Tui’s singing away, great views from our lounge of the Cook Strait. What more could we ask for!

Joshua loves the new home and is delighted to have his parents in close range of 10 minutes drive time away from each other.

sw-herbusiness-clare-evamaria.jpgA big highlight for Clare was Judging one of the seven Business Awards Categories for the HER Businesswoman Regional Awards at the Millenium Hotel, in Wellington on 4th December . The night was a great success and a fantastic experience for me.

marco-joshua-calib-phoenix-2009.jpgJoshua , Marco and I are looking forward to going to Rotorua for Xmas . We will be having Christmas with Mum, Dad , Karl , Bonnie, Molly and Lilly- Ann.

After Christmas day Marco and I will head to Melbourne for a nice wee break. We are looking forward to catching up with Kevin, Teresa, Ella and Amelia.

For those we do not see over Christmas, we hope you have a ‘safe’ and ‘happy’ Christmas!

Love Clare, Marco and Joshua.
