A big hello and Xmas greetings to everyone for 2011,

View our Photo Gallery

karl-and-bonnieWe really do look forward to Xmas time and holidays, being able to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of daily life to spend with family and friends and appreciate doing nothing except lazing at the beach – yay for summer days and nights 🙂

Here’s a highlight of events 2011

Bonnie added a new bow to her string and began teaching Yoga at the Wellington Yoga Studio. She really enjoys this as a part time career and has steadily grown a keen following of students who come to classes and give her plenty of praise. Karl may be biased but he also really enjoys her classes when he can get to them and they definilety give him a good workout .

Molly and Lilly-Anne have certainly grown up a lot this year and are both now little girls – which means plenty of dolls and ponies, dress-ups, dolls houses, swimming, dancing and singing in our household!

Lilly turned 2 in Feb and is certainly a lot more confident with talking, running, riding tricycles and scooting.

Bonnie found a great job as a Ophthalmic Technician working with Dr. Tony Wells @ Capital Eye Specialists. This has been her passion for her for a while, and is able to manage the trialing of new medications to assist patients with dengenerative eye conditions such as gluacoma and macular degeneration – it’s also been helpful for Karl when receiving specialist care for his ongoing eye condition.

Karl completed his contract with Business.govt.nz and started a new project with the Ministry of Health working on the new Health.govt.nz that was launched in Dec. He has just started a new project with the Wellington City Council working with the redevelopment of the council web portal wellington.govt.nz with the aim to bring at some of their popular public services online in the next year.

Molly turned 4 in August and hass enjoying taking a ballet lessons and learning the art of dancing. Her class held an end of year recital which was a classic to watch and enjoyed by all.

It was a fairly good snow season up at Mt Ruapehu so both Karl and Bonnie enjoyed some good time on the slopes. Karl continues to enjoy mtbiking in Wellington, with some great trails to be ridden and the ocassional surfs in Houghton and Lyall Bay.

Its been a year of highs and lows for sure with the Christchurch earthquake (Dad was there on the day in happened on 22 Feb!), watching and attending some great rugby at the RWC, especially with the All Blacks winning the Cup! and unfortunately our father Jay suffering a long term illness with depression after recovering from a succesful operation to remove a cancerous bowl tumor.

Wishing you all a wonderful Xmas and relaxed an enjoyable holidays

Love from
Karl, Bonnie, Molly and Lilly-Anne
