Annemarie Ron Isabella Xmas eve 2012Isabella and Annemarie were very fortunate in the beginning of this year to travel to New Zealand for Clare & Marco’s wedding in Wellington on January 28th and then Marie & Jay’s 50th wedding anniversary on February 3rd.

My sister Alex and I were her brides maids, Joshua, Claire’s son was the ring bearer and Lilly-Ann & Molly were her flower girls. Just adorable! We all had a lovely time catching up again as a family as the last time we were all together as the Menzies family was 18 years ago.

It was very sad for Isabella and I to leave New Zealand, but Ron was lonely back home in Atlanta without us and he was getting ready to start his new job in Savannah, Georgia as Executive VP for Vaden Nissan. This new position has worked out very well for Ron and he is well settled into his new position and both Isabella and I enjoy our trips/holidays to Savannah now.

Our 3 dogs, Max, Calli and Georgia love the road trip (4 hours drive from Atlanta to Savannah) and the lovely long walks around the streets of down town Savannah. They get so much attention not only from the local that live there but the thousands of tourist that flock their to discover the secrets and pasts of Savannah. We have rented a lovely townhome that was built in the 1800’s and enjoy listening to the horse drawn carriages that pass bay our home on a daily basis.

One other nice advantage to Savannah is that is close to the beach and located on the Savannah river. Many cargo ships come in and out to port on their travels around the world delivering and shipping merchandise. We often hear the ships horn in the night as we drift off to sleep.

More details of Savannah

We had quite a mild winter this year and very long spring. Our Summer was long and very hot! Isabella spent her summer holiday’s in Savannah, Arizona with her friend Abbey and family, and on Kiwah Island in South Carolina with her friend Arielle and her family. This year Isabella started her Junior year in High School. This is a very important year for Isabella as she prepares for college. This time next year we are hoping to find out what colleges she has been accepted in and by January 2014, we will most likely know what college she will be attending. Her graduation will be in May 2014! If anyone wants to plan a trip to visit us, this would be a very good time to come and visit.

Isabella got a 2012 Jeep Liberty as her birthday/Christmas present this year! She also, started working in September as a hostess 2 days a week at a local family owned restaurant. She is now driving herself to school and all the places she needs to go to after school. Isabella has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity this year with is a great organization that builds homes for the less fortunate.

I have had another great year with selling real estate in Atlanta.  View www.SellingLuxuryLifestyles.com  to sell my  listings and all that I do to help my clients sell and buy houses. Eventually, I will transition into the Savannah but for right now I will continue growing my business in Atlanta while Isabella finishes High School.

This Christmas we will spend our Christmas in Savannah and decorate our home down there. For New Year’s we will be joined by our good friends Barbara and Alex McGraw as well 4 friends of Barbara’s who live in Savannah. We have made reservations at our favourite Italian restaurant “Garibaldi’s.

We wish all our family and friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! We send blessings to Marie and Jay as they enjoy a new leg in their life, as they have just moved from our family home of 40 years to Auckland into a brand new home in Glendowie.

Congratulations!!! We are also anxious to welcome a new member to the family, Karl and Bonnie’s baby next year:))

Fondest love to all,
Ron, Annemarie & Isabella
